Spirulina is a green-blue micro algae with high nutrition values and low environmental impact, defined by FAO as “food of the future”.

Spirulina is vegetable food containing:

  • the higest percentage of proteins 60-65% and in particular of essential amino acids;
  • minerals like iron, potassium, magnesium, manganese, calcium, phosphorus, zinc, and selenium;
  • vitamin A and Group B vitamins (B1, B2, B3, B6, B12) folic acid, inositol, panthotenic acid, vitamin C, E, H, K.

Spirulina is rich of pigments like phycocyanin (anti-oxidant), lutein, beta carotene. Does not contain iodine.
